Artist’s Statement: I shot this image in Tucson, Arizona. It was summertime — 118 degrees during the day, 90+ degrees at night. It was so hot, people were literally taking off their clothes and walking the streets in their underwear. It was so hot, stray dogs’ paws were melting into the Arizona asphalt. Sadly, this woman was arrested for public indecency almost immediately after I took her picture.
