Artist’s Statement: So New Orleans and so French Quarter – whimsical, decadent, sexual, conflicted in its religiosity – all on display for all who are passing by; each of those bringing a tiny flush of anger or attraction or outrage to you, depending.
About the Artist: Jay Waters walked away from a good job in order to teach in college and do other things, among them photography. Old enough to know better, yearns to be a well-traveled Southerner, believes that a photo should be, as much as possible, just the coincidence of time and camera, but is learning Photoshop and Lightroom just in case. Usually finds things interesting that most others don’t. His work can be seen at noodlephotos.com.
