Genelle Chaconas is queer, feminist, genderfluid, an abuse survivor, and proud. They earned an MFA in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University in 2015. Their first chapbook is Fallout, Saints and Dirty Pictures (little m press, 2011). They experiment with compressed writing to see what shape evolves. They love industrial music and Throbbing Gristle, especially “Hamburger Lady”; the grisly lyrics, warped vocals, sound effects and found text, and jarring synthesizer make this song memorably unnerving.
