Light of my Life – Sade Law
Artist’s note: “This painting was conceived after a picture of a friend consoling her daughter who had fallen asleep crying. It was such a beautiful image; I wanted to capture the bittersweet moments of motherhood when your child hurts and all you can do is be their light. It’s heartbreaking to see your child like that. You just wish your child could endure no pain.”
Sade Law is a New York native residing in Florida, where she has had two solo art shows. A self-taught artist, Law loves to create naïve and whimsical art: her creations aim to evoke the audience’s inner child. Law numbers Picasso and Fabio Napoleoni as influences contributing to a style at once playful and modern, with a bit of a cubistic feel.
